Two New Provincial Roads Worth More Than US $76 Million to Be Inaugurated on Thursday

SIHANOUKVILLE: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport, in cooperation with the Sihanoukville Provincial Administration, will officially inaugurate Provincial Road 146B (Samdech Preah Sangka Reach Tep Vong Street) and Provincial Road 148 (Samdech Techo Hun Sen Street) on Thursday morning, 22 December 2022.

The inauguration ceremony of the two provincial roads will be presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen.

In order for the ceremony to go smoothly, to ensure good security and public order and avoid traffic jams, the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration will close Provincial Road No. 146B and temporarily suspend transportation of construction site materials along Provincial Road No. 146B on Thursday, from 5 am until the end of the ceremony.

The construction of Provincial Roads 146B and 148 began in April 2020 and was completed in August 2022 following a 28-month construction period. The two provincial roads were built by the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), inspected by the technical team of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and were built with a budget worth more than US $76 million.
